For 65 years (and counting), and spanning three generations, Jack Berleth & Sons, Inc. has adhered to the old world tradition of quality craftsmanship and superior service that we have built our reputation on.   From the company's inception back in 1947, when Jack Berleth himself came here with his two sons from Germany, to our current leadership under Steven Kennaugh, the one constant the company always keeps at the forefront of it's mission is complete customer satisfaction. Jack, Frank and Henry began this noble trade in Europe, and brought their pursuit of excellence to the US in 1947 where they built a loyal client base because of their attention to detail, commitment and reliability. When Jack passed in 1973, Frank and Henry continued with his vision, and expanded into areas to grow their business.  In addition to new construction roughing, underground irrigation, boiler and water heater installation, repair work and fixture replacements, Henry's son-in-law, Steven, took on bathroom remodeling as his pet project. He has become an expert in this field, guiding homeowners effortlessly, through what is typically a stressful and overwhelming event.  See more historical pictures here. In an effort to give back to our community, Jack Berleth & Sons, Inc. has also been actively involved in many different areas of community service.  Frank and Henry were both involved in the Huntington volunteer fire department.  Henry was, and Steven is now, a member of the Huntington Town Plumbing Board, which reviews applications and conducts written and practical exams for new plumbers looking to get licensing for the Town.  Steven gives generously of his time to local Boy Scout Troop 78, even though his own son is grown and no longer involved in Scouts.  For many years, we have donated our services to the Huntington Holiday House, which provides summer camp experiences to under privileged girls.  And this year, we're proud to be involved with Building Homes for Heroes, to modify a home for one of our own returning, local heroes, who lost his legs in Afghanistan. When you call into our office, you will get personalized service rather than an answering machine or service.   Our uniformed mechanics drive fully stocked vehicles for routine service calls.  When the mechanics arrive at your home, you will get the red carpet treatment (including shoe covers) to insure protection of your home.  Our technicians are kept up to date with constant training on new products.  We offer 24 hour emergency service after hours and on the weekends, and offer the convenience of paying by credit cards.  We perform background checks and drug screening on all our employees.   We are fully licensed and insured (specific township licensing information is listed at the Licenses tab).  We are members of the Long Island Better Business Bureau, the Huntington Chamber of Commerce, and the Nassau County Association of Plumbing/Heating and Cooling Contractors. We take pride in our work.  We look to do the right thing for every customer, every time.  And this philosophy has kept us in business, in a very competitive marketplace, for 65 years.  We look forward to continuing for a long time to come.
